Punch up your profile photos (you have photos, right?). Make sure they're up to par… Think fun, current and in-focus. If what you have now doesn't make the cut, post new ones -- it's the easiest way to get more attention and catch the eye of local members.
Snazz up your profile, especially your essays. Add new details about wonderful you to your essays and be sure to give specific examples. "Last year I was in Spain and ate paella in a little seaside town called Sitges," is way better than "I like to travel."
